Happy Birthday, Blessed Mother Mary!

This year my two oldest girls were very excited to decorate a birthday cake for our Blessed Mother all my themselves!

It was very simple, and made with a couple 8" strawberry rosy cakes  (which were in the freezer and had been pre-made last week, as a back up plan for my daughter's birthday party, just in case the Tea Pot cake was a flop...) and some white frosting covered with coconut on the sides, perfect for Our Lady.

They had so much fun frosting the cake, picking out "Marian Blue" candles and sprinkles, and even made sure to wear their Catholic Cuisine Aprons!  The little ones can hardly wait until after dinner to blow out the candles.

Happy Birthday, Dear Blessed Mother!

P.S. If you haven't yet, be sure to go and welcome Charlotte's precious little one who arrived a couple weeks early this past Friday.  Congratulations Charlotte and Family!! Pin It

  1. Hi Jessica,
Thank you for posting all these beautiful ideas for the Blessed Mother's Birthday Celebration.
We as well enjoyed the day with a Heavenly Blessed and Blue Lemon Cake. God bless you and your beautiful family. It's nice to see the passion of our beautiful Catholic Faith be documented! =)
p.s. check out my post for today along with lemon cake picture. BTW it was a Duncan Hines box cake and cool whip we used. The recipe was totally semi-homemade, but nonetheless a sweet memory of this day.
